Somewhere You Are Not

We started as a spark, growing to a flame..a fire by the end of the night.
But as the rain fell down, like distance from this town, we began to extinguish..
Now I’m alone and cold, wandering without your love.

And now I’m somewhere you are not.
I have forgotten how to catch your smile because it’s never there.
I have forgotten how to hold a hand to guide me into the sun.
I have forgotten how to dance to a song I did not know.

And now I wish I knew how to forget forgetting, because I remember everything and it’s all I think about.
