A certain calm’’ written August 21, 2008 at 6:30 pm
The mettle of swimming without muscle
Or holding on without an energy
Without a hope found in the summer sun
There’s no neon light to bring you home
However under your eyelash tides
Trying to hide the oceans in your eyes
There’s a calm even in the storms of distance
That keeps me peaceful from miles away
She’s a lighthouse to my everyday
The soft spirit of greenery through the window
A comfortable light for my voyage at sea
Bring me safely back home, into your arms I pray
