Where A Lighthouse Should Stand
Where a lighthouse should stand,
A current takes her away.
But she comes, from the bay, back into my arms.
And it is in that moment that I connect with the breeze at my back,
With the sun dipping under my eyes,
With the sand wishing to sink under my feet…
It is like nothing else…to connect, to love, to cherish, to protect
And to want it all forever.
Traveler's Kiss
Traveler’s kiss
Will it linger forever?
Will it stretch itself out across my lips?
Will it stretch itself out across never-ending time?
I will be traveling
I will be moving forward
Always moving, and always remembering her touch
How it kept me in one place
How it kept my eyes on her face
How it kept my soul alive in the essence of her grace
From heaven it came like milk and honey
Soaking my bones in glory
Soaking my bones in love
A never-ending love...
Will it linger forever?
London Square
London Square
We have been walking around in a circle
Passing the same bed of flowers, peeking up at the sun
That is looking down on London Square this morning
While grey windows lose their color
And the heat from the night before cools to comfort them
We have been walking around in a circle
Attempting to escape the café and the cluttered marketplace
Realizing the sun has woken from its slumber
And the sheets of stars that kept it covered have peeled away
Into another part of the sky
And we must peel away from this commotion, from this place
We must walk in a straight line, at an angle
Away from London Square
